Divers from the Armed Forces of El Salvador managed to locate a fisherman who this Thursday, May 9, was reported missing in the Chanmico lagoon, in the department of La Libertad.
It was explained that the man went out in the morning to fish in the aforementioned lagoon and when he did not return in the afternoon, the relatives notified the National Civil Police (PNC) and he was already labeled as missing.
The search work began on Thursday, but intensified on Friday and when the person could not be located, this Saturday specialized divers from the Naval Force arrived again and managed to bring him afloat so that his relatives could give him a Christian burial.
The body was taken to a safe place so that Forensic Medicine doctors and personnel from the Attorney General’s Office (FGR) could carry out the removal of the body. The cause of his death is being investigated.
