The State Attorney General’s Office reported that a control judge issued an order linking the process against two alleged extortionists of a Juarez merchant, a legal situation that they will face in preventive detention.
According to the agency, Pedro MM and Víctor Manuel GT are attributed criminal responsibility for the crime of aggravated extortion, in events recorded on April 12, in the Ciudad Moderna neighborhood.
The investigation folder establishes that these people sent the victim fraudulent and intimidating messages through the Facebook Messenger platform, in which they assured her that if she did not deliver a significant sum of money they would harm her or her family.
Given this situation, the victim filed the corresponding complaint with the Public Ministry of the North Zone District Prosecutor’s Office, for which the corresponding actions were taken and in an undercover operation agents arrested the accused at the intersection of Zaragoza and Aztecas streets.
The Public Prosecutor’s Office formulated an accusation and accredited with evidence his possible participation in the crime of aggravated extortion, for which the Control Judge set a period of four months for the complementary investigation.
