They left us – Marcel Conche, philosopher

99 years old. A great name in French philosophy, Marcel Conche was to celebrate his 100th birthday on March 27. He died in Treffort, in Ain, where he had lived in retirement for many years. Agrégé in philosophy in 1950, a specialist in ancient philosophy and metaphysics, he taught for a long time at the Sorbonne. Marcel Conche occupied a unique place among French philosophers. He elaborated and theorized an original thought, which takes nature, man and morality as its main objects, and is distinguished by its clarity and depth.
