(ANSA) – VICENZA, NOV 18 – The gang of robbers who 12 years ago killed Tommaso Lotto from Vicenza, who worked as a consultant in a Spanish law firm, in Sao Paulo, Brazil, has been sentenced to a total of almost 90 years in prison. On November 14, the Brazilian court issued the first degree conviction on charges of murder, robbery and receiving stolen goods against 4 people held responsible for the crime. The investigations, followed on site and by Vicenza with the public prosecutor Hans Roderich Blattner, made it possible to identify a gang made up of five people specialized in the theft of luxury watches. The boy, 27 years old at the time in July 2021, was shot dead during an attempted robbery of his Rolex. The whole group apparently took part in the robbery which later degenerated into murder. One of the alleged perpetrators has since died in prison. According to the investigations, the four accomplices, including the alleged perpetrator of the crime, were arrested last April. (HANDLE).
