Petar Hristov is the owner of Laktima Balkan, one of the largest dairy companies. He is also said to have been personal friends with Tsvetan Tsvetanov and the former head of GDBOP Stanimir Florov.
The shooting took place on Ralevitsa Street five minutes after 10 a.m. An ambulance arrived at the scene at 10:14 a.m., minutes later the inspection began. The place is cordoned off.
49-year-old Hristov was shot with four bullets in the head and chest. It is assumed that the killer fired from the neighboring construction site. The injured man was taken to the hospital by his driver, and after half an hour he died in intensive care.
According to media publications, Petar Hristov was a member of the SIK group. It is said that with the support of those shot in Aruba, Poli Pantev bought the milk processing company “Serdika” in Veliko Tarnovo.
