The Alma Foundation and the Breast Reconstruction Network Foundation signed a collaboration agreement to perform free breast reconstructions for Guanajuato women who had breast cancer.
San Miguel de Allende was the headquarters of this collaboration firm in which it seeks to give greater coverage of breast reconstructions to women who had to have a breast removed after suffering from cancer.
Breast Reconstruction Network is the new face of the Rebicam Guanajuato foundation, which in synergy with the Guanajuato Health Secretariat has managed to rebuild and reintegrate more than 500 women who had one or both breasts removed after suffering from cancer.
The Data …
The Breast Reconstruction Network Foundation in Guanajuato has supported more than 500 women who overcame cancer with breast reconstructions.
Rebicam Guanajuato’s effort was achieved by the goodwill of a great team made up of certified plastic surgeons, anesthesiologists, residents, nurses, orderlies, social workers, first-rate doctors and even women who had their reconstruction process and who are those that morally support the patients to intervene.
The objective of this agreement signing is to reach more women who have gone through this situation, so that they can regain their self-esteem, since many go through a trance of depression, but thanks to these reconstructions they manage to overcome that situation.

For its part, the Alma Foundation emerged in 2009 and the main purpose of this association is to restore women to their physical and psychological integrity after cancer treatment with breast reconstruction. Rina Gitler, founder and director, is a survivor of this condition and thanks to this, this foundation was born.
It was at a private event that this agreement was signed, in which Gustavo Jiménez Múñoz ledo, president of the Breast Reconstruction Network, as well as Rina Glitler herself, as well as the Secretary of Health, Daniel Díaz Martínez, were present to continue with the reconstruction program in the state, as part of the “Quality of life for our heroines” program, which has been running in the state for some time.
