The municipal Cleaning Department issued a snow alert for tomorrow, Thursday, December 16.
The measure takes effect from two in the afternoon on Wednesday 15.
Given the forecast of an accumulation of 8 or more inches of snow, the government agency reports that it already has the vehicles to spread salt and the snowplow trucks ready.
The latter will be deployed as soon as the 2 inch accumulation is reached.
The agency also reports that from the night of the 15th chemical salt will begin to be sprayed on certain roads.
Alternate parking rules will be suspended for Wednesday and Thursday.
Starting this year, the alert also includes restaurants that have outdoor tables.
Locals must collect furniture and heaters from the sidewalks starting at two in the afternoon tomorrow.
The city government will notify these businesses when they can reinstall the tables.
The Department recommends that restaurants remove the covers, but if they decide to leave them there, they should clean them regularly for the duration of the alert.
