Within the framework of world recycling day, the Hélice Foundation announced the start of this year’s edition of its campaign “Donate your old book” in which they invite the population to deliver books in good condition and in general paper to achieve a correct disposal of these wastes in such a way that they can be reused.
Carmen Muñoz, director of the civil association indicated that the donation of material such as books, notebooks, magazines, copies, newspapers and even dead files is requested.
In the case of books and magazines, these will be channeled to the library and general network for the benefit of educational and cultural centers, so that they can be read again, while the material in good condition will be given special treatment to be part of a recycling process.
From this date until August 30 of this year, the Hélice Foundation invites you to take the material for donation to one of the more than 30 collection centers deployed throughout the city, thanks to several companies and institutions that are allied with the group.
Among the collection centers, LA VOZ DE LA FRONTERA stands out, where materials can be received from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. from Monday to Friday; It can also be dropped off at the Cespm Calle Novena facilities, at the Dif Municipal de Mexicali, Meyibó centro del saber, Juventud 2000 recreational center, Amante brewery, the Farmacias Santa Monica stadium, Plaza Carranza and in the Mexicali valley at Cecati 52 located in Ciudad Morelos, to name a few.
This year’s goal is to exceed the collection of 2,000 books in good condition, as well as 85 tons of material for recycling.
