They investigate sexual harassment of young people who serve in the military in ‘La Tramacúa’

The Attorney General’s Office opened a preliminary investigation against officials to establish the Valledupar High and Medium Security Penitentiary, known as ‘La Tramacúa’, for the alleged sexual harassment of young people who provide military service in the institution.

The disciplinary entity corroborates the information from the three processes filed in the Attorney General’s Office that aims to investigate the alleged crime of sexual persecution and abuse of authority of the dragoneers with public officials.

The entity seeks to verify the possible place of occurrence of the events: also the officials assigned to the Penitentiary in relation to possible irregular conduct and thus, determine if they have violated the rights of young people. Finally, Regional Cesar confirms whether the officials’ versions against prison servants constitute a disciplinary offense.
