They intercept a convertible boat in Puerto Colón Radio Club Tenerife

Civil Guard agents belonging to the PEGASO Team (Police Specialist in Aeronautical Management and Operational Safety) of the Santa Cruz de Tenerife Command have intercepted a boat, convertible into an aircraft, which was flying over the area of Puerto Colón.

The investigation of the events began on June 9 when the agents learned of the existence of a boat convertible into an aircraft that could be flying over the Puerto Colón area, in Costa Adeje, without any authorization.

Thus, they went to the marina in order to identify its owner and although they found the aircraft moored in a jetty, it was not possible to find the person in charge in the vicinity of the place, which is why they took several photographs for its later identification study .

In later days, they verified the existence on social networks of videos of the aircraft flying over the bay.

After the agents carried out a discreet monitoring of the use that was being given to the boat-aircraft, on June 20 they observed in situ how it flew over the bay of Puerto Colón, which is why, with the support of agents from the Civil Guard belonging to the Fiscal Section of the Port of Granadilla de Abona, managed to identify the person responsible.

The man did not have an aircraft license or permission from AESA to operate a ship with foreign registration, nor did he have a certificate of airworthiness and also used a surface for takeoff and landing as a possible unauthorized flight field.
