The Office of Permanent Attention Services of San Pedro de Macorís imposed this Friday a measure of coercion consisting of a periodic visit to sign the book and impediment from leaving the country to the lawyer Ramón Peralta accused of defamation and insults against the prosecutor Idalia Jiménez.
Ramón Peralta’s lawyers accused the judge of prevarication and “twisting the right”, after indicating that he is not competent to dictate the measure of coercion that was issued.
The lawyer Simón Polanco maintains that what has been done with Peralta is “to materialize a kidnapping because they went to look for him as a criminal in an act of private action.”
The legal professional would have accused the prosecutor Idalina Jiménez and Rosy Holguín of having withheld and not putting in the search record 16 thousand dollars and garments with millionaire value from the town of Julito Kilo in the tourist area of Juan Dolio.
Following the lawyer’s complaint, the prosecutor Rosy Holguín was suspended by the Superior Council of the Public Ministry for committing alleged irregularities in the performance of her duties.
The lawyer Ramón Peralta came to denounce on the stand that during a measure of coercion that was known against Julito Kilo that the prosecutors did not state in the record of search against the capo that in the villa raided in Juan Dolio there were 16 thousand dollars and millionaire jewels , which supposedly were distributed among officials of the Public Ministry in San Pedro de Macorís, when it should have been part of the body of the crime against the drug trafficker.
Peralta will have to appear before the Permanent Attention court on the 27th of each month to sign the book, according to the judicial system.
