NEW YORK – Authorities are searching for a suspect of violently attacking a man inside a subway station in Manhattan.
According to the police report, the incident occurred on Sunday, around 3:20 pm, when the victim, a 50-year-old man, was in front of the turnstile at the entrance to train lines 2 and 3, on the station 7th Avenue and 34 street, and the suspect approached him.
Then the 52-year-old alleged attacker began hitting the victim several times in the face and kicking him in the body before snatching his cell phone and wallet with about $ 700 in cash.
The victim ended up with cuts and bruises on his face and paramedics transported him to an area hospital.
The suspect was identified as Ronald Bailey, 52, and was last seen wearing a dark jacket, a Yankees cap and a surgical mask.
