This Saturday, the Integration Directorate held an Integra Fair in the Azacualpa canton, in the district of Panchimalco, in San Salvador Sur, with the objective of carrying out community development actions by bringing services closer to families.

“On the part of the Integration Directorate we are promoting a new model of social development, precisely, the Feria Integra project embodies that innovative model in which we provide the community with services that were previously inaccessible and we bring them to them for free,” said the Manager of Intermediate Institutions and Integra Fairs, of the Integration Directorate, Conny Joachín, at the fair held at the Cantón Azacualpa School Center.

General medicine, dentistry, physiotherapy, psychology, mediation and social work were provided. The official asked all communities to come forward, “the success of the project is citizen participation,” she highlighted.

The Integra Fair is a coordination between the Directorate of Integration, the Ministry of Health, the National Commission for Micro and Small Business (Conamype), the National Council for Early Childhood, Children and Adolescence (Conapina) and the Attorney General’s Office. Republic (PGR).

The culture of integration seeks for communities to flourish and develop. Years ago, bringing together families from different communities was unthinkable. Now, with the measures implemented by the Government of El Salvador, there are possibilities to integrate them.

These days are characterized by the closeness of government institutions to the community. The fair took place from 8 in the morning to 1 in the afternoon. “Thank God, the doctors have been concerned (…). The Government is watching over the city and no one had done that,” said Cripriano Ramos, who was grateful for the services received.

Meanwhile, Bernarda Trejo thanked the services for free. “We save, here we don’t pay.” The Integra Fair has already been held in Soyapango, Ilopango and Ciudad Credisa, among others.
