They hold a conference at the Coahuila Congress on nutrition and prevention of breast cancer
Within the framework of breast cancer awareness month, the conference “Nutrition and Prevention of Breast Cancer” was held in the State Congress.
This conference was given by the medical staff of Health Jurisdiction No. 8 of the Ministry of Health of Coahuila, and addressed to the collaborators of the Legislative Branch and the general public.
It was the oncologist Renata González Herrera, who taught the topics related to the timely detection of breast cancer, who also provided details about self-examination, symptoms, detection methods, risk factors, among other important information.
For its part, Nutritionist Fernanda Rodríguez exposed the foods that are not recommended and showed a variety of food options that do correspond to a healthy diet, explaining in detail the nutrients they provide, as well as the importance of consuming water and other healthy drinks, as well as exercising.
Finally, on behalf of the LXIII Legislature of Congress, recognition was given to the Head of Health Jurisdiction #8, Doctor Roberto Cárdenas Zavala, and to Doctor Laura Ovalle, director of the Health Promotion program of said Jurisdiction, for their support in holding this conference as well as a health day in the legislative chamber.
