BODØ (VG) (Bodø / Glimt – Molde 0–2) For the first time in a long time, there were over 2000 spectators at Aspmyra, but Ohi Omoijuanfo ruined the party for the home crowd.

The elite series’ top scorer rose to the top of a corner kick and nodded in the match’s first goal – his 10th of the season.
Bodø / Glimt pushed for equalization, but could not avoid their first home loss in 767 days. The previous home loss was at home against Brann on 19 May 2019. Against Tampen, Omoijuanfo put their eleventh for the season, and thus the Moldans won 2-0 at Aspmyra.

– It flows well during the day. As long as I’m in front of goal, the guys will find me. We work really hard for each other, and the collective was absolutely huge today. Glimpses have not been lost here for a long time. This is not an easy team to beat, and it was tough. The defensive work must be at the bottom, we also have to achieve something when we have the ball. We did that today, says Ohi Omoijuanfo to VG.
– I think we solved this very well. Now we wanted us to be safer with the ball, but defensively it is a very good match. It’s good to be able to show it here at home. We have shown that we know this type of football in Europe, says Erling Moe to VG.
– Are you gold favorites now?
– It’s too early to talk about it. We’ve only played ten games. I think more people want to sign up, we also get to concentrate on ourselves.
Bodø / Glimt coach Kjetil Knutsen has been far from used to being in the interview zone to explain himself after losses in recent years. It was a grasped, but disappointed coach VG met after the match.
– First and foremost, it is a good football match. We have it in our hollow hand in the first place, and are ready best. But then they have the quality we do not have in the box which in the end becomes crucial. It’s a bit sour, but there’s little we can do about it now, Knutsen says to VG.
– The goals we let in today will be a bit simple. That is probably what disappoints me the most, he continues.
Almost the entire first round dominated the hosts – albeit without creating too many chances. Patrick Berg thinks they deserved to get something, but will also praise Molde.
– We completely dominated them from ten minutes onwards. But we did not get to the biggest chances, and that is a lot of Molde’s honor as well. They are a good and solid team, says Berg to VG.
On one occasion, the ball hit the arm of Stian Rode Gregersen, but referee Rohit Saggi never pointed to the penalty mark.
– Bodø / Glimt will have a penalty kick, said Joacim Jonsson in Discovery’s studio.
– I tried to call it, but I had very few with me, Berg says to VG about the situation.
It was mostly “powerplay” from Bodø / Glimt’s side in the first half, but only five minutes into the second half, Ohi Omoijuanfo rose the highest and headed Molde in the lead.
