Ford has a long and good tradition of making sporty versions of its cars. When it says ST or RS on a Ford, it means extra forces under the hood and more fun factor.
Now they are taking this a step further and have for the first time made the ST version of an SUV.
The compact Puma has 200 horsepower in this edition and does 0-100 km / h in 6.7 seconds.
This is not just about more forces. Ford also promises that they have worked on the driving characteristics, among other things, the steering response is 25 percent faster than on a regular Puma. The brakes are also optimized and larger.
Differensialbrems
The 1.5-liter petrol engine was introduced in the Fiesta ST. It comes with advanced turbocharging and high pressure gas injection technology.
With maximum power, the Puma ST delivers at 6,000 rpm. Maximum torque of 320 Nm when you reach between 2,500 rpm and 3,500 rpm.
The Puma ST also has as much as 50 percent more torsional rigidity than a standard Puma. In addition to a specially adapted air intake and upgraded exhaust system for maximum performance, the Puma ST also has engine mounts that minimize unwanted movements, especially in sharp turns, but also for more comfort on everyday trips.

Launch control
The Puma ST comes with the same 6-speed manual transmission that is also found in the Fiesta ST. The top speed is 220 km / h with the included standard 19-inch alloy wheels.
Behind the wheel, you can choose from several driving modes. “Track” sets up the SUV for the maximum entertaining driving experience. If you buy an extra “Performance pack” for 10,000 kroner, you can also get the new Puma ST with “Launch Control”. This is a system that allows the car to get out of the “starting block” as quickly as possible, for example when driving on the track.

Bright green
A new front spoiler is integrated in the bumper and increases the ground pressure by as much as 80 percent. This gives better stability and more power to the wheels. The large rear spoiler also ensures better aerodynamics. The two-part ST signature grille is designed to deliver sufficient cooling to the engine.
Puma ST comes, in addition to a number of other paint colors, also with the exclusive color «Mean Grean». Along with the black-gloss roof, the special grille and a number of other larger and smaller exterior details, there is a car that stands out in the crowd.

Smart solutions
Inside it is equipped with upholstered Recaro seats with heating. These come in a Miko Dinamica material which ensures that the passenger and driver sit well in place in the seats. There are also Ford Perfomance protection plates, a leather sports steering wheel and an ST-marked gear ball. Seats, gear levers and doormats also have the ST logo and seams in Metal Gray.
The practical properties are still taken care of. Puma ST comes with the largest and smartest luggage compartment in the class. You have up to 456 liters at your disposal which can be utilized in a number of ways. Ford’s “MegaBox” provides a deep, washable and drainable storage space of up to 80 liters under the floor of the trunk. This storage space allows you to carry products equivalent to two golf bags vertically, or objects that are 115 cm high.
