Raúl Jalil | provided loans for 17.5 million pesos to the company oil company El Alto SA. to develop its production of varietals. The contribution is made possible through Credit Fund and Social Benefits of Catamarca.
The delivery was made within the framework of the visit of the Minister of Agriculture, Livestock and Fisheries of the Nation, Louis basterra and the Minister of Agriculture and Livestock of Catamarca was also present, Cesar Tobias, and the president of the Credit and Benefits Fund, Rafael Ponzo.
Two credits were made through the Fund, one of them is regarding the Varietal Reconversion, and it is a credit for $ 10 million that will be used in the clearing of 50 more hectares for the cultivation of a new varietal and the construction of a new irrigation system. Currently the company has 250 hectares planted, of which 190 are for the production of table olives and 60 are destined to the production of olives for oil.
On the other hand, a loan for $ 7.5 million was granted that will be destined to the purchase of machinery. At this point, from the company they detailed that with this amount they will be able to acquire three pitting machines with a production capacity of up to 2,000 olives per minute and that will allow doubling the pitting capacity, and an automatic packaging machine for the packaging of the products.
It should be mentioned that this company processes and exports table olives and stuffed olives to Brazil, Australia, Paraguay and other countries.
