– When I first saw Jarek’s photo in some newspaper, I immediately called a journalist friend and asked who it was. I only heard that half of Poland is in love with him and I have no chance. So I threw the newspaper in the trash and the photo from memory. Until I met him at a party in one of Warsaw’s galleries – said Sarapata in one of the interviews.
They were connected by love at first sight. However, the feeling did not last the test of time. Soon after the birth of their son Jovan, Sarapat and Jakimowicz moved to Spain. The actor was always looking for an opportunity to return to Poland. They lived in a long-distance relationship for a long time, but their feeling began to burn out. They divorced only in 2010.

Joanna Sarapata confessed in an interview with “Fact” that Jarosław Jakimowicz cares about the relationship with Jovan. He maintains contact with his son mainly by phone. “Jovan is now old enough to know how to manage and manage a father-son relationship,” says Sarapata.
The son of Sarapata and Jakimowicz has been living in England for six years. The painter confessed that Jovan is finishing his studies in political science at the University of London. Her second son Christopher lives in Warsaw. – It takes care of my online gallery and is doing very well. I finally don’t have any agents who haven’t always been right with me.”
“I forgive but I don’t forget”
The painter divides her life between Barcelona and Warsaw. That’s half a year here and half a year there. I’d rather be there in winter, she explained. He does not live with his sons on a daily basis. She accepted the fact that they are now adults and can make their own decisions. He also doesn’t pressure them to start a family.
Everything has to happen in its own time, I’m not pushing anyone. No one pressured me and neither did I. As a zodiacal Aquarius, I value freedom, so I give it to my children too. It will be what will be, she admitted.
In her autobiography, Sarapata will reminisce about relationships with people who have passed through her life. A journalist from Fakt asked the artist if the book would shock anyone. The painter replied that a few people would certainly be surprised by the content.
– I clean the energy and as the saying goes: I forgive, but I do not forget. It’s very healthy to forgive, but you have to remember not to fall into the same stories again. There are a few names that I am telling you about that have not behaved properly towards me. It can be unpleasant for them, but it’s hard, there are always consequences for what we do – she concluded.
