The manual recalculation ordered by the Republican Secretary of State began in Georgia on Friday. According to the AP agency, most of the previously uncounted votes supported the current president Donald Trump (1643), 865 votes were for his democratic challenger Joe Biden and 16 votes were given to libertarian Jo Jorgensen. The election commissioners have no idea how the votes could not be counted for the first time.

According to preliminary results, after the first census, Biden won very narrowly in Georgia. He had a lead of about 14,000 votes over Trump, or about 0.28 percentage points. A recalculation may be ordered in Georgia if the difference between the number of votes for each candidate is half a percentage point or less.

After completing the manual recalculation of the ballots, the loser’s campaign can ask for another recalculation, which would already be a machine one. The recount will end by Wednesday 11:59 local time (17:59 CET). The results must be known on November 20 at the latest.

Trump is missing 48 voters to win
Following the models of prestigious American media, Democrat Joe Biden won the recent US presidential election, defeating current Republican President Donald Trump. Most of the media have declared Biden the winner in Georgia as well, but according to the AP agency, the result in this country is still too close to determine the winner.
–
Trump has not yet acknowledged the defeat and is trying to turn the election result to justice. The majority of the American media gave Biden 306 votes in the so-called electorate, which will confirm the new White House chief in December. Trump has 232 voters. The support of at least 270 voters is necessary to obtain the presidency.

It may also be recalculated in Wisconsin
In Georgia, the decision is made on 16 members of the electoral assembly. Trump’s team has previously announced that it will ask for a recount in Wisconsin, which represents ten voters and where Biden also won, by about 20,500 votes. But local election commission chairwoman Meagan Wolfe said today that she had not yet received a request for a recalculation. According to her, the time for that is only until Wednesday.

The new census would have to be paid by the person requesting it. The state pays it only if the difference in the number of votes is less than 0.25 percent. It is higher now. Trump’s campaign would recalculate $ 7.9 million (CZK 176 million) in Wisconsin. The recalculation of tickets in this state after the elections in 2016 differed from the first census by only 131 votes.
