They found the trick to cheap fuel.

Gas stations sell cheaper fuel at special dispensers, where customers, however, have to fill themselves, “Telegraph” learned. At the moment, there are only a few places of such objects, and some of them are in Sofia. An employee at one of them explained that it was introduced experimentally for several months. It’s not clear if they will continue, but for now it’s only at a few gas stations.

Ladies, who usually do not fill the tank themselves and wait for an attendant to fill them with fuel, are amazed by the innovation. But they gladly accept to experiment, since the price is 5 cents lower than that of the other gas stations in the chain. In addition, for the holders of a special discount card, another 5 percent discount is added to the site, so the price of fuel is literally 10 percent lower than that of other sites. For example, diesel at self-service kiosks is sold at BGN 2.41 per liter, while at other sites it is BGN 2.46. The difference in gasoline is the same.

The only thing is that it is not allowed to pour propane-butane at the self-service columns. They are the same as at other gas stations, and can be distinguished by signs that describe that cheaper fuel can be filled, but must be filled by the customer.

In addition to the reductions made by the commercial establishments, in the last month a drop in fuel prices was reported by 3.85 percent or by 10 cents. In August, gasoline was poured for an average of BGN 2.60 per liter, and currently its price is BGN 2.50. At different gas stations in the country, the price varies from BGN 2.22 to BGN 2.71 per liter. The reduction for diesel is also by 10 percent, with the average price for the country falling from BGN 2.58 to BGN 2.48 per liter. The cheapest diesel is sold for BGN 2.18 per liter in Yambol and Botevgrad. And the most expensive is in Koprivshtitsa, where they pour it for BGN 2.70. There is no change in the price of LPG, which is currently BGN 1.18 per liter.
