A 17-year-old Colombian woman was murdered in an apartment in Chicago, United States. The Police found the minor with serious injuries from a gunshot.

The victim was identified as Stephanie López Ramírez. She was in a home on 700 Street and North Avers Avenue, in the Humboldt Park sector. Based on the authorities’ report, she was found around 12:30 pm on October 1st.

According to the family, the young woman had asked her father for permission to go to one of her friends’ house.
“He (father) didn’t like that friendship. He had a bad feeling because he (friend) didn’t come close to the house. The girl always had to go to them,” said Deisy Ramírez, the minor’s mother, to Citytv.
The Cook County Coroner’s Office informed local media that The teenager was shot in the arm, which caused her death. Mrs. Ramírez assured that her daughter’s friend would be the main suspect in activating the weapon.
“His fingerprints appear in the ballistics. He says he shot and that it was an accident. He is my daughter’s best friend, why did he kill my daughter?” he told Citytv.

The Police arrested the young man involved in the case. However, as the local newspaper revealed Chicago Sun-Timesso far the boy has not been charged.

The minor’s parents began the procedures to repatriate her. However, they do not have the resources to bring his body to Colombia..
“We are looking for people with a good heart. Help me, I am a desperate mother. I want to bury my daughter and see her one last time,” said Ramírez.
Meanwhile, the authorities continue with the investigations to clarify the circumstances of the tragic case.
