A 57-year-old man and another 73-year-old were arrested in the last few hours in a house on Isla Santiago, Ensenada, on charges of robbing a neighbor and threatening to kill him.
But the situation, which at first seemed to be a conflict between neighbors, ended up getting more complicated after the police found a real arsenal in the house.
Furthermore, the troops managed to find a large sum of money which will remain in the custody of the Justice until the subjects can provide a logical explanation of its origin.
Official sources indicated that the complainant claimed both suspects assaulted him and even threatened him with death so that he would stop claiming his belongings.
According to officers from the First Ensenada Police Station, a 45-caliber pistol with magazine was seized with 6 inserted and undeclared ammunition, 35 cartridges for a 12/70 rifle, a 22 carbine with an undeclared percussion bullet, 40 ammunition of various calibers, a machine gun counting money and the sum of 1,373,000 pesos.
