A man was found dead after apparently being hit by a subway line 7 train at the Grand Central terminal in New York.
Transit workers discovered the body lying on the tracks shortly after 7:30 a.m. Thursday, the Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA) reported. This is an unidentified young man in his twenties.
While the police investigated the case, another man “became enraged” and jumped onto the tracks for “unknown” reasons. He was handcuffed and transported to Bellevue Hospital.
Due to those incidents, trains bound for Queens on Line 7 were stopped for more than two hours Thursday morning. The service returned with delays at 9:40 am, reported New York Post.
There is no 7 train service between Manhattan and Queens while we conduct an investigation at Grand Central-42 St.
7 trains will end at Queensboro Plaza or Woodside-61 St.
For service between Manhattan and Queens, take the E, F, M, N, R or W trains.
