Authorities are investigating the discovery on Monday of three bodies inside a car that was burned in Arecibo, police press director Axel Valencia reported.
The police chief said that, according to preliminary information, the three burned bodies were found this morning inside a burned vehicle on the El Pastillo river bridge, on the PR-129 highway, at the level of the Esperanza neighborhood of the aforementioned municipality.
The call alerting the Uniformed arrived at about 8:30 in the morning, to the Arecibo Highway Division.
So far, the vehicle is suspected of being a Toyota Four Runner bus, although the description still needs to be corroborated due to the damage caused by the fire. For the same reason, the identity of the deceased is not immediately available.
This is the third massacre that has been recorded in Puerto Rico so far in 2020.
In the first hours of 2020, the first slaughter of the year was recorded, in the Carraízo neighborhood of Trujillo Alto.
There, a pair of twin brothers were shot, as well as their father and mother. A third son of the couple had to be hospitalized for the bullet wounds he suffered.
The second massacre of the year was registered on January 15, in the Lomas de Juana Díaz neighborhood.
In that case, two men were shot dead in front of a business that is at a gas station.
The third victim received several bullet wounds that seriously wounded him and later died in the San Cristóbal de Ponce hospital.
