A 24-year-old woman was found lifeless in a water well, in a house located in the Santa Ana neighborhood of Ciudad del Este. The victim’s partner was detained by order of the Public Ministry, until the circumstances of the young woman’s death are clarified.

The data collected by the police agents of the jurisdictional, indicate that the victim left a letter in which he says that he was in the well and asks that they take care of his son, which suggests a self-elimination. However, other elements of suspicion appeared during the first inquiries, for which the victim’s partner was arrested.
Volunteer Fire Department personnel proceeded to remove the body from the well. Then prosecutor Edgar Torales ordered the transfer of the deceased to the “Buen Jesús” funeral home for inspection. As an apparent sign of suffocation was found, the prosecutor ordered an autopsy for which the body was sent to Asunción.
Commissioner Guillermo Bejarano of the aforementioned jurisdictional police station explained that agents from various departments were summoned for the corresponding investigation. The couple would have starred in an argument last night and both would have been consuming alcoholic beverages.
“Since there was that fight involved, doubt was generated. Now the man is still delayed at the disposal of the Public Ministry, ”he said.
The victim leaves behind a young son, from a previous relationship.
