“It seems like they feel so threatened or their worldview is so threatened by people like me — climate activists and environmental activists — speaking out that they feel the need to silence and mock us. This should be seen as a positive sign because it means we are actually having an impact,” said the renowned environmental activist.
After the famous exchange of lines on Twitter between Thunberg and Tate, the former kickboxer posted a picture of some pizza boxes and said that he would not recycle the boxes.
It wasn’t long after that image was posted that Romanian prosecutors arrested him and his brother Tristan.
After their arrest, Thunberg poked fun at a later tweet: “This is what happens when you don’t recycle your pizza boxes.”
