The mayor of Cartagena, William Dau Chamat, issued decree 0229 of March 1, 2021, which establishes the extension of selective isolation with responsible individual distancing in the city, from 00:00 hours on March 1, 2021, until 00:00 : 00 hours on June 1, 2021.

The document establishes that the curfew is maintained from Monday to Thursday, from 00:00 a.m. to 5:00 a.m. each day, and Friday, Saturday and Sunday: from 2:00 a.m. to 5:00 a.m. of everyday.

On holidays the curfew is also from 2:00 am to 5:00 am each day.

Likewise, during curfew hours, the consumption of intoxicating beverages and alcohol will continue to be prohibited in public spaces, such as streets, parks, squares, squares, in residential spaces, in bars, gastrobars and throughout the territory of the Cartagena District.

Citizens are reminded that the prohibition for the sale, distribution and sale of intoxicating beverages continues in all types of commercial establishments (neighborhood stores, supermarkets, shopping centers, department stores, salsa shops, terraces, tobacconists, billiards, etc. ), by natural and / or legal persons.

However, the sale, distribution and sale of intoxicating beverages will be allowed through digital platforms or homes.

The regulations establish that the use of public space that is not authorized by the corresponding authorities or regulations, for celebrations or agglomerations, in addition to those contemplated by laws or regulations in this regard, will continue to be prohibited.

And authorization will not be granted for events on public roads, or outside the areas that are authorized within the public spaces of the Historic Center that have economic use.

Nor is it allowed to hold public shows or electronic party events and of any other type on beaches and public spaces; Likewise, the use of a pick-up or any other kind of sound amplification device that generates alterations to the tranquility and citizen coexistence is prohibited.

The only people who are exempt from the measure are: officials of national entities, officials of the Mayor’s Office of Cartagena and the Government of Bolívar in compliance with their functions, pharmacy workers and operators, workers who take shifts, vehicles o transport routes for workers in companies that work 24/7, members of the public force, Public Ministry, Ombudsman’s Office, Fire Department, Judicial Branch, relief agencies and Prosecutor’s Office, private security and guard personnel, emergency vehicles medical and home care, among others.

And the decree makes it clear that the restriction does not cover film and cinematographic activities, public shows and / or private events authorized by the Ministry of the Interior, prior to meeting the legal requirements, and the events of the pilot plan of events and fairs. businesses, which may be carried out with a maximum capacity that will depend on the space available in the place to carry out these activities and the distance of at least two meters per person must be guaranteed.

The government of William Dau recalls that the use of masks, or any element that covers the mouth and nose, is still mandatory in public spaces and commercial establishments.
