On January 7, the Official Gazette published the Resolution No. 0013 of the Ministry of Health with which the complete scheme of vaccination in Panama, which according to the regulations, would look like this:

- Vaccines approved by the World Health Organization (WHO), the Food and Drug Administration (FDA), or the European Medicines Agency (EMA), provided that they have been completed three dose
- Johnson & Johnson Janssen Vaccine Complete Schedule with Two Doses; can be first dose plus booster or two doses
- Combination of the different vaccines authorized by the WHO, FDA or EMA, once the three doses have been completed.
According to the resolution, a person will be fully immunized from 14 days after having completed the respective vaccination schedule.

On January 4, the Minister of Health, Luis Sucre, announced this measure, mentioned that it had been discussed by the PanavaC-19 team and authorized by the President of Panama, Laurentino Cortizo.
According to the Ministry of Health, until January 6, Panama had vaccinated 90.6% of its population 12 years and older with one dose and 81.7% with two doses. This January 7, vaccination began for children between 5 and 11 years old with pediatric doses.
