they eat in their hotel restaurant and get fined

A small departure from the rule that has not gone unnoticed. Tuesday February 16, several customers of a hotel in Mulhouse, in the Haut-Rhin, were fined for having eaten in the restaurant of the establishment, report our colleagues from Alsace.

Several officers from the police station and the BAC (Anti-Crime Brigade) broke into the hotel at the end of the evening and discovered about fifteen customers seated in the dining room.

Each was fined 135 euros for non-compliance with health measures. The owner of the hotel justified herself to the police, explaining that she had been subjected to “pressure” from customers. According to her, some did not accept to eat alone in their room. Administrative proceedings would be initiated against the establishment.
