The Minister of Tourism, Morena Valdez, and the executive director of Corsatur, Alejandra Durán, developed the National Meeting of the Tourism Ecosystem 2024, this time with businessmen from Ahuachapán; This is the second of 15 meetings that will take place throughout the country.
“The objective of these meetings is to know first-hand what the pulse of the tourism sector is and what opportunities for improvement we can have, both in the public sector, but especially in the private sector,” said the official.
During the day, the Minister of Economy, María Luisa Hayem, explained to the participants the actions to strengthen tourism. “The commitment is to work with each of the businessmen and provide them with support so that they can move forward, the digitization and simplification of procedures, and the regulation, we have made new laws,” she emphasized.
These meetings are held with entrepreneurs from the value chain of the tourism sector, accommodation, food, recreation, tourist transportation, tourist guides and tour operators.
The director of Provincial Initiatives of the Ministry of Tourism of the Dominican Republic, Yira Vermenton, also participated in this meeting, who stated that El Salvador is becoming an attractive destination for both tourists and investors.
The businessmen who participated in the meeting thanked these spaces that the Government creates to strengthen their knowledge and capabilities that allow them to be more competitive.
