They develop ″ human embryo precursors ″ in the laboratory | Science and Ecology | DW

According to the journal “Nature”, two scientific groups from the United States Australia have developed cell structures similar to human ones from embryonic stem cells or cells reprogrammed in the laboratory.

According to the magazine, these are “human embryo precursors” that were generated without using in vitro fertilization.

These structures are similar to so-called blastocysts. They consist of approximately 200 embryonic cells, which in the natural process develop five or six days after fertilization of the ovum by a sperm.

The analysis of the structures yielded models with which the development of the human embryo, the defects of early development and the causes of early pregnancy loss, or even the development of new contraceptives, could be investigated from new perspectives.
