They dedicate a jewelry collection to women with breast cancer – El Sol de México

March has become a month of solidarity and support for all women, and for Calista, a brand created by Laura and Regina Hernández, it is essential to maintain that mission and commitment to all of them.

In addition to being a tool to express ourselves, fashion is also a means by which we can support a good cause. That is why, since 2020, she joined the Cima foundation, which within its objectives is to reduce the number of deaths from breast cancer in Mexico, while supporting those women who are diagnosed with the disease in their process. disease.

Since then, the jewelry house has made a generous donation to the foundation and this 2022 reaffirms its collaboration by allocating 50% of all sales of the Sakura ring from the BLOM collection, to support the prevention and treatment of this disease that charges hundreds of thousands of lives worldwide.

Inspired by the Sakura flower, or cherry blossom, the adjustable ring is crafted in 22-carat gold-plated brass and rose quartz, a stone that has been associated with love. It also uses the symbol of the Samurai warriors, which refers to the fact that they die giving their honor on the battlefield.

In relation to that, the firm chooses this ring since love always begins with one’s own, which, in that sense, includes self-care.

“Through self-care, with the necessary check-ups such as mammography from the age of 40 and self-examination, breast cancer is one of the most curable, as long as it is detected in time. Thus, the check-up is part of self-care that represents true self-love, ”say the designers in a statement.

Its enormous connection to love and the heart, make rose quartz one of the most energetic minerals that exists, for this reason, in gem therapy it is used to transmit warmth, compassion and healing.

Previously, this initiative was carried out within the framework of the pink month, in commemoration of the International Breast Cancer Day.
