Mexico City. The exterior of Minister Alberto Pérez Dayán’s office was covered this Thursday with posters accusing him of being a “traitor” for being the decisive vote that last Tuesday prevented the approval of Minister Juan Luis González Alcántara Carrancá’s project that proposed invalidating the toral articles. of judicial reform, among them those who order the massive dismissal of thousands of judges and magistrates so that their positions can be subject to popular election.
The posters were placed without the names of the authors, but only the workers of that high court can freely move through the corridors of the Court, unlike visitors and even the press who need authorization.
“Pérez Dayán with Y de Yunes” and “Alberto Pérez Dayán, traitor of the Homeland,” say two of the signs on which they display the photograph of the robe.
They even quoted the song “I only ask God”, by León Gieco, to write on a piece of cardboard: “If a traitor can do more than a few, let those few not easily forget it.”
Among other phrases, they also occupied the portrait of former President Benito Juárez with the phrase attributed to him: “Cursed are those who defend the people with their words and betray them with their actions.”
They also used caricatures, such as that of a cat reading a book entitled: “How to sell the country in ten minutes.” Alberto Pérez Dayán”.
