Czech footballers Jiří Pavlenka and Theodor Gebre Selassie are relegated with Bremen from the German league. Werder fell to 17th place after losing 2: 4 in the last round with Mönchengladbach.
The change of coach did not help Bremen before the last round. He lost the selection of the old-new Werder coach Thomas Schaaf from the third minute, when he made a name for himself with a shot into Pavlenek’s counter-movement Stindl.
Borussia decided a clear victory with three goals between the 52nd and 67th minutes. Bremen reduced by two goals in the end, but did not reach the points. In addition, in a concurrent match in the 86th minute, Cologne secured a 1-0 win over Schalke’s last goal with Bornauw’s goal, and Kolín moved up to 16th place in the playoffs by two points ahead of Werder.
Bremen is relegated from the Bundesliga after 31 years. Mönchengladbach remained in eighth place, seventh position, and Union Berlin maintained its participation in the newly emerging Conference League with a 2: 1 victory over the runners-up from Leipzig.
Master Bayern defeated Augsburg at home 5: 2. The top scorer of the competition, Robert Lewandowski, broke the record of the legendary Gerd Müller with the 41st Bundesliga goal of the season.
Bayern scored four goals for Augsburg in the first half. After the change of sides, the Czech stopper Marek Suchý joined the defense of Augsburg from the bench and the guests lowered with two goals, but the last word was given by the Polish gunner.
With 90 minutes played, Lewandowski nearly put the visitors another one up as he broke through in the middle and fired from just outside the box, but his shot passed just over the bar. He thus surpassed the record of the former Bayern Müller player, whose record was valid from the 1971/72 season.
Midfielder Vladimír Darida did not avert the loss of Hertha Berlin 1: 2 in Hoffenheim with the first goal of the season, followed by Pavel Kadeřábek.
Darida pushed his head atypically just before the break, as he sent the ball close to the net alone in front of the goal. In the 49th minute, however, Adamjan equalized and Hoffenheim’s best scorer Kramarič decided in the setting. Hoffenheim did not lose seven games in a row at the end of the competition and finished 11th. Hertha finished a series of eight games without losing and finished fourteenth.
He kept the third place with the eighth competition win in a row Dortmund, who managed 3: 1 with Leverkusen at home. Haaland scored twice, scoring more than one goal in the 11th game of the season. In the past, only Müller and Lewandowski did the same.
At the end of the match, Patrik Schick was replaced by Bender. Leverkusen’s long-standing support thus symbolically said goodbye to his career, the goalkeeper Bürki did not even try to catch his shot.
The newcomer Bielefeld remained among the elite, beating Stuttgart 2-0. André Silva defended the second place among the shooters with the 28th league goal in the season, and Frankfurt also defeated Freiburg 3: 1.
