Kindness
One of the polling stations located on the international line in Pedro Juan Caballero, Department of Amambay, went up in flames during the night of this Good Friday.
The blue volunteer firefighters mobilized until they reached the place, where they carried out the tasks of extinguishing the fire, thus preventing it from spreading to the other squares that are next to it.
Subsequently, the cooling and verification of the premises was carried out. The fire was possibly caused by a short circuit in the electrical network.
Isidro Zárate, one of the firefighters who went to the scene, stated that the beginning of the fire became of medium magnitude and that with the rapid reaction of the firefighters “a tragedy could be avoided.”
He pointed out that 15 blocks from the place there is a hydrant and when there is a fire of great magnitude, that distance is already very far.
