Lerdo, Durango. – The Municipal Institute for Women in Lerdo, invites women to join the campaign for the detection and prevention of breast cancer, through free mammograms in coordination with the UNEME Dedicam clinic, where again 5 women were benefited .
Mammography is an “X-ray” study that is recommended for women 40 to 69 years of age, and its purpose is to detect abnormalities in the breasts, which cannot be perceived by observation or examination.
Every Friday, 5 women from Lleida are benefited with this campaign, which seeks to raise awareness among the women of Lerdo, to perform a self-examination and a mammogram at least once a year and thus be able to detect breast cancer in time, the main one cancer that affects women in Mexico year after year.
The call is open to all women from Lorraine over 40 years of age, through the Institute’s telephone number 87 11 59 26 46, where they will be informed of the day and time of their exam, as well as the requirements at the time of their study, such as wearing two-piece clothing that facilitates the test, without deodorant or body cream, and not applying perfume before the exam.
It is necessary to raise awareness in the ladies, so that they perform this test for free, which is to know their state of health, and at the same time, in case of detecting any damage, attend them immediately to avoid the risks it represents.
