This became clear at the final public discussion of the route, which took place online on Wednesday night. It will have 6 metro stations from the Military Academy “G. S. Rakovski ”to the subway of the District Hospital.
The connection of the metro with the green ring will be at the metro station at the intersection of Asen Yordanov and Shipchenski Prohod boulevards, announced Sofia’s chief architect Zdravko Zdravkov.
The first part of the future green ring should connect the Slatina and Izgrev districts along the route of the former railway line at Pioneer station. 3.1 km of bike lane, pedestrian zone and linear park are planned there.
