The director general of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), Rafael Grossi, reported this Friday that Iran’s nuclear facilities suffered no damage after the drone attack against the province of Isfahan (center).
In a message broadcast through Grossi urged the parties to “act with extreme restraint” and recalled that nuclear facilities “should never be a target in military conflicts.”
This information had been previously confirmed by Iranian authorities, after an attack was launched this morning with drones flying at low altitude against Isfahan, home of a reactor and a nuclear research center.
A US official told the media in that country that the aggression was launched from Palestinian territories occupied by the Zionist entity, which until now has remained silent about this fact.
After the destruction of the unmanned aerial vehicles by the Iranian defenses, the Government reported that the nuclear facilities are completely safe and that the explosions that were heard were due to the interception and destruction of these means.
The Secretariat of the Supreme National Security Council described as false the reports published in Israeli media and other countries about damage to nuclear facilities. The entity pointed out that any information about alleged damage is due to Israeli propaganda to intimidate citizens.
On Sunday, April 21, Iran launched a counterattack with drones and missiles against Israeli military sites. Iranian authorities defined the military action, called Operation True Promise, as a response in legitimate defense, necessary, moderate and with precise objectives (all military) after the Israeli bombing against the Tehran consulate in Damascus (Syrian capital).
In addition to murdering 16 people (including seven Iranians, members of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps), the aggression violated the sovereignty of Iran and Syria and the Vienna Conventions on the inviolability of diplomatic and consular offices.
In statements to international media, the Iranian Foreign Minister, Hosein Amir Abdolahian, explained that the Armed Forces. of his country attacked the Nevatim air base and an Intelligence and Security Center, from where the Zionist entity launched the bombing against the consulate in Damascus.
He expressed his hope that the United States will stop the Zionist regime’s warmongering and not allow it to launch another attack against Iran, since if this happens, Tehran will launch an immediate response at the highest level.
This Thursday, during a public meeting with citizens in the city of Shahrud, Semnan province (north), Iranian President Seyed Ebrahim Raisi confirmed that if Israel makes another mistake, he will receive a response of such magnitude that he and his supporters will regret it.
