The director of social communication of the municipality of Hidalgo del Parral, Rossana Vázquez Burciaga, expressed solidarity through social networks with the radio journalist Brenda Chacón, from the city of Cuauhtémoc.

“It is unfortunate that we currently live in these situations in the journalistic field, where more and more women are occupying key spaces in the work of communication,” she expressed through her Facebook account.

This after the conduct classified by the Chihuahuan Women’s Institute itself as “misogynistic and arrogant” by the driver Israel Beltrán Montes, in the radio station “Question of Minutes” that is broadcast in the city of Cuauhtémoc through the BM station Radio.

Vázquez Burciaga, demanded that they are more women like Brenda, with the sole commitment to inform society in a truthful and timely manner.

“Enough is enough !, No woman should be minimized, her descent or denigrated any work environment, at any time. “TodosConBrenda,” he said.

With this case, there are 19 attacks on women journalists in Chihuahua in the last 12 years, since according to the documentation of Communication and Information on Women AC (Cimac), through its Cartography of attacks against women journalists in Mexico , until last week there were 18 cases.

In the country, impunity in violence against women journalists is constant due to “the lack of investigation, persecution, capture, prosecution and conviction of those responsible, causing the repetition of the murders and all kinds of violence against journalists,” the civil association when presenting its Cartography.

This morning, through a press release, Emma Saldaña Lobera, head of Ichmujeres, reported that they will request that the cancellation of Mr. Beltrán Montes’s radio concessions be analyzed.

Constitutional Article 1 prohibits any act that violates human dignity and is intended to nullify or impair the rights and freedoms of individuals, which constitutes, among other things, the crime of discrimination.
