Mobile libraries have taken different forms around the world, including various means of transportation, according to the geography and needs of each region. It is a proposal that has become very popular, especially in Latin America, to reach the most remote and low-income communities.
In this sense, in San Rafael a mobile library is being prepared with the aim of bringing reading and study material to different children who do not have access to these elements.
The proposal is led by the San Rafael CCC and the Semillas Solidarias dining room and picnic area, which began to gather the books to launch the initiative in the short term.
“We are putting together our first mobile library for the boys and girls of the neighborhood with humor, love and reading,” they explained from the organization.
Faced with this situation, they are collecting books for children from 5 to 14 years old. “If they want to give us some, let us know by phone 260 4231791 (Marisol),” they explained from the organization of the proposal.
With the contribution of the community, it is hoped that the project can be carried out and that the library will start rolling in San Rafael in the short term.
