Deputies of the Legislative Council of Anzoátegui state (CLEANZ) celebrated the XIX anniversary of the Barrio Adentro Foundation, which was headed by the sole health authority in the eastern entity, Yemaira Villasmil, who pointed out that thanks to the work and love of the doctors they have fulfilled their functions despite adversity, as well as the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic.
Villasmil gave recognition to those who have been part of this mission for 5, 10 and 15 years of work, committed to the preventive service and health protection of the Anzoatiguense population.
On April 16, 2003, the Fundación Misión Barrio Adentro was born as a cooperation agreement between the countries of Cuba and Venezuela, during the administration of President Hugo Chávez.
