They capture a subject accused of murdering a five-year-old son in Camagüey

Father Arrested in Child Death, Accused of Murdering Son in Act of Revenge

Camagüey, Cuba – A chilling crime has rocked the quiet town of Minas in Camagüey province, culminating in the arrest of a man accused of murdering his own five-year-old son. Aliesky Martínez Ferrer stands accused of ending the life of little Edgar Aliesky Martínez Torres last Tuesday, November 26th, in a brutal act that authorities believe was an attempt to inflict pain on his former partner, Keilin Torres Varela.

The tragedy unfolded when Martínez Ferrer allegedly went to the home of Torres Varela’s parents, where Edgar was staying, and suffocated the child.

"Please, whoever sees this bastard please call me urgently at this number. He is dangerous, he killed my son. Damn what a pain! I ask you from the bottom of my heart, mercy for my son. This man must pay, what he did is too cruel: he killed his own son. This singao is a fugitive from justice. His name is Alieski Martínez Ferrer, he is capable of killing and everything, he is very bad," Torres Varela, heartbroken and fearing for her safety, pleaded in a social media post, urging the community to help find the fugitive.

Reports indicate that Martínez Ferrer’s actions stemmed from the recent dissolution of his relationship with Torres Varela. He allegedly targeted his son as a means of revenge, leaving Torres Varela terrified for her own life.

The search for Martínez Ferrer intensified when, adding to the horror, he assaulted a pregnant woman while fleeing the scene, stealing her phone in the process.

Finally, in the early hours of Monday, December 2nd, a dedicated team of police officers apprehended Martínez Ferrer in the Sebastopol area of Camagüey. The arrest followed a dramatic confrontation in which Martínez Ferrer, already wounded, resisted arrest and entered a police vehicle, injuring an officer in the process.

Details surrounding the escalation of violence leading to the officer’s injury remain unclear.

Martínez Ferrer now faces a multitude of charges stemming from this horrific incident, including murder, assault, and robbery. His actions have left a profound scar on the community, raising chilling questions about domestic violence and the lengths to which some individuals will go to inflict pain.
