The National Civil Police (PNC) reported that a Salvadoran gang member was hiding in Guatemala, for which he was deported and captured in the territory.
This is Elmer José Mejía Rivas, alias Munrra, a gang member from 18, who was captured at the La Hachadura border, Ahuachapán, through the Transnational Anti-Gang Center of El Salvador.
Furthermore, this gang member is a member of the Shadow Park Locos de Zacatecoluca and had fled to Guatemala, where he remained to continue committing crimes.
In the neighboring country, alias Munrra, he threatened residents and visitors, showing his gang tattoos and told them that if they reported him he would threaten their lives, and he also demanded money.
Also, according to reports, this gang member received and housed other gang members who arrived from El Salvador, who were trying to leave for the United States, since he crossed them through blind spots between Mexico and Guatemala.
The PNC indicated that he has a criminal record since 2009 for resistance, public disorder and illicit groups.
