A 31-year-old doctor was captured and presented to the Prosecutor’s Office after he was accused of sexually abusing a minor under 17 years of age in events that would have occurred in the hospital in the municipality of Sucre, Santander.
According to the Prosecutor’s investigation, the health professional would have taken advantage of his condition in the middle of a medical appointment to “insulting and physically accessing the minor in the facilities of the medical center, regardless of the fact that the mother was also in the facilities of the health institution.”
“He proceeded to touch her body during the exam, which ended with sexual intent and later in carnal access by the minor, who was not in the company of her parent.”the Prosecutor’s Office said in a report.
According to data provided by the authorities, the capture of the doctor was carried out at noon on Saturday, while he was in the municipality of Vélez. The man was sent to jail while the judicial process against him progresses, as confirmed by the Prosecutor’s Office.
