They canceled the catamaran sailing between Burgas and Istanbul – 2024-10-08 14:55:08

The first sailing on the line Burgas – Istanbul – Burgas, which was planned for the period from October 11 to 14, has been cancelled, the tourist company, which sells the tickets for the catamaran and provides overnight stays in the Turkish capital, announced.

The information was also confirmed by the agent-company, which is the Bulgarian partner of the Turkish company organizing the sailing, Radio Varna reported.

The Turkish side has announced that the demo tour is being postponed due to expected bad weather and strong sea waves.

The tour operator company announced on social networks that tomorrow after 3 p.m. it will announce details on the subject.

The new travel service was eagerly awaited, with seats selling out in a matter of days.

Turkish shipping company IDO intends to operate a regular service on the route with a 440-seat high-speed catamaran.

The price of the trip is 60 euros both ways, and the return course will take place the next day.

Turkey has extensive experience in catamaran travel, the development of which began in 1995. They are particularly popular for traveling to various destinations in Istanbul, as well as intercity travel in the Sea of Marmara and the Aegean Sea.

Dozens of ferry lines connect Turkish ports with Greek islands in the Aegean Sea. The first catamarans intended for the Turkish market were produced in Norway. Turkey now produces its own sea buses.
