Schedules:
– In the morning, from 08:00 to 11:00.
– In the afternoon, from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Requirements to donate blood:
– Be between 18 and 65 years old.
– Weigh more than 50 Kg.
– Not having been vaccinated against COVID-19 up to 72 hours before.
– Enjoy a good state of health.
– Not having smoked or consumed alcohol up to 4 hours before the donation.
– Avoid donating without eating.
– Bring personal documentation
Every year the June 14 is World Blood Donor Day.. This day was established to raise awareness of the need for blood, to highlight the crucial contribution that unpaid voluntary blood donors make to health systems, and to support transfusion services by strengthening of local campaigns. In this sense, the motto of World Blood Donor Day 2022 is “Donating blood is an act of solidarity. Join the effort and save lives”.
In order to ensure access to safe blood for everyone who requires a transfusion, they explained that all hospitals and clinics need unpaid volunteer blood donors who donate blood on a regular basis.
In this 2022, Mexico will host the World Blood Donor Day, through its National Blood Center. The world event will take place in Mexico City on June 14, 2022.
