With one foot outside the KO of SYRIZA are Alexandros Avlonitis and Petros Pappas, with the Corfu MP announcing his independence in a live broadcast, while the Kilkis MP – according to the information – will act accordingly tomorrow.
“This is not my party,” said Mr. Avlonitis, essentially announcing his independence, something for which he had planned several days earlier.
At the same time, P. Pappas will follow the same path, which – according to the information – will be announced tomorrow. Speaking to documentonews.gr, MP Kilkis said:
“SYRIZA – PS has fallen into the mire of violence, fraud and anti-democracy. Progressive and democratic citizens have no place in a party that does not allow its elected delegates to participate in the convention and at the same time excludes the president-elect from the possibility of re-contesting the leadership of the party.”
With the independences of Al. Avloniti and P. Pappa will have 33 MPs compared to PASOK’s 31.
Poulos remains as a collaborator
documentonews.gr also contacted Yota Poulos, who clarified that she is no longer represented by SYRIZA, however, she does not intend to become independent so that SYRIZA does not lose the position of official opposition, remaining in KO as a collaborator.
