The ceremony will be broadcast on YouTube Live platforms (Grand Gala and the Top Construction Brands) and Facebook Live, according to the organizers.
The event is intended to distinguish the most outstanding professionals: architects, engineers, suppliers, visual artists, decorators, businessmen, national authorities, unions, among others.
As is traditional, awards will be given to professionals and companies whose career in their respective sector makes them deserving of this distinction.
Regarding the award in the field of art, the distinction for career in visual arts highlights Lucy Yegros, Melvin Roldán and Juan Pablo Juampi Pistils.
The organizers agree that they recognize the passion that drives artists to “create and express themselves, to try in a unique way again and again with the same force the means at their disposal to share that inner world and be able to produce a work whose aesthetic penetrate the spirit of the people.”
“This recognition of career achievement comes as a very pleasant surprise to me and it is a satisfaction to share the award with Juampi Pistilli and Lucy Yegros,” Melvin Roldán commented to ÚH.
Roldán has a degree in Audiovisual Media Art with a specialty in direction, from the Faculty of Havana, Cuba. He worked in marketing and advertising management at Connoly Ltd. and Wines Spiriis Distributor Inc. for United Colors of Benetton and Sisley. He was a correspondent for the magazine Colors and participated in the Factory Project: Artists and creatives for the Benetton Foundation, 1997.
“With Lucy Yegros I exhibited in 1995, in a group exhibition called Decades of indigenous populations, where we both received a mention because it was a painting contest,” he recalled.
Likewise, together with Pistilli, he participated in different undertakings and common good projects for foundations. “The last thing we did together was participate in a collective exhibition of artistic doors in the Josefina Plá Bicentennial House,” he said.
“It is very pleasant to receive recognition because the artist is generally working in his workshop away from noise. It is also a commitment to continue creating, to continue learning and giving one’s best in what we know how to do, which is art,” he added.
The distinction that the three plastic artists receive is for Roldán “an injection of energy to boost the creative work that each one carries out with his style, with the themes that each one develops.”
Finally, Melvin asked that we consider recognizing young artists and new talents who contribute “a lot to the culture of our country. Art is always a victory over death. We will all cease to exist, but thanks to art and culture, legacies and memories remain for humanity,” he said.
STIMULUS. For Juan Pablo Pistilli, this award is an encouragement to those who work in art. “This is a very special moment for me,” the metal artist, draftsman, painter, sculptor, heir to the talent of his father Hugo Pistilli, to whom he was an apprentice, told ÚH.
“I am very pleased to receive this award and above all to share it with the art guru Lucy Yegros, for whom I have enormous affection, great admiration and whom I consider a reference to follow both in terms of her artistic work and her philosophy of life. ”, he commented.
Regarding his colleague and friend Melvin Roldán, he highlighted his years of work both in the field of fashion and the plastic arts. “It represents him with all the energy of him,” he said.
“It is great to share this award with these two personalities, very happy and the always support of this great family that generates so many events,” concluded the artist who trained in Chile, Brazil and Argentina.
