“Musician of the Year” is an award that is determined by the listeners of the “Horizon” program of the BNR and the classical music show “Allegro Vivace”.
The BNR “Musician of the Year” award will be presented at a gala concert on April 15 at 7 p.m. in Hall No. 8 of the NDK /free entry/.

The 20th recipient of the prize is to be announced. Musicians of the year in previous editions were violinists Prof. Mincho Minchev, Vasko Vasilev and Svetlin Rusev, conductors Prof. Vasil Arnaudov, Emil Tabakov and Rositsa Batalova, opera primas Gena Dimitrova, Raina Kabaivanska and Anna Tomova-Sintova, pianists Prof. Viktor Chuchkov and Lyudmil Angelov, the piano duo Aglika Genova – Lyuben Dimitrov, the composer Prof. Ivan Spasov, the cavalryman Theodosii Spasov, the percussionist Tatiana Koleva.
The statuette, which will be awarded to the Musician of the Year 2010, was again made by the sculptor Hristo Iliev.
In addition to “Musician of the Year”, depending on the listener’s suggestions, several more awards were also determined this year:

* Outstanding contribution to Bulgarian culture;
