The Italian-Venezuelan businessman Leonardo Santilli García (49) was murdered last Tuesday afternoon in Lechería (Anzoatégui), according to police sources. The homicide was partially recorded and disseminated on social networks.
Santilli was at the wheel of a Toyota 4Runner truck parked in the parking lot of a pharmacy in the Venezia de Lechería sector. There he was surprised by a gunman who shot him from a motorcycle eight times.
Passersby heard the detonations and crowded around the vehicle. A person took Santilli to a private clinic where he died. Santilli, who owned construction companies, was requested by the United States from where they accused him of money laundering and allegedly canceling resources to contract with PDVSA.
The Public Ministry appointed the 36th National Prosecutor to investigate the murder of the businessman “and sanction these acts,” the attorney general, Tarek William Saab, wrote yesterday on his twitter account.
Homicidal. In another procedure, the Cicpc captured four subjects implicated in homicides. Among them is Jorgen Isaías Fajardo Clavo (30), accused of murdering his former partner Lolimar Zamora Aguilar (44), an event that occurred on August 27 in the Altamira hamlet, Santa María de Ipire municipality, Guárico.
The man did not accept the end of the romantic relationship, so he went to Lolimar’s house, they argued and then shot him in the head with a 16-gauge shotgun, which was seized when he was arrested, reported the Cicpc.
The other detainees for being allegedly involved in homicides are: Andio Segundo Acevedo Cabrera (38), detained in Puerto Cumarebo (Falcón); José Antonio Marín Marín (25), captured in Carúpano (Sucre) and Keiner Alexander Azocar González (20), accused of murdering Jonaiker José Arvelo Velásquez (22) in Las Minas de Baruta (Miranda).
